🎆 Bonfire Night and Firework Safety 🎆 |

|
Dear residents,
As we celebrate Bonfire Night, Thamesmead East Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to remind everyone to enjoy the festivities safely and responsibly. Please be mindful of young children, elderly residents, and pets, who can be particularly affected by loud fireworks. If you're planning a display, ensure fireworks are used responsibly, follow the manufacturer's safety instructions, and never aim them at people, animals, buildings, or vehicles. Pet owners may wish to keep pets indoors, close windows and curtains, and provide a safe, quiet space to help reduce anxiety caused by loud noises. Parents and guardians are encouraged to speak with children about firework safety and the importance of respecting others in the community. Fireworks should only be handled by responsible adults and never carried or used by children. Let's work together to ensure everyone can enjoy Bonfire Night safely, respectfully, and without causing unnecessary distress to others. Have a safe and enjoyable Bonfire Night from all at Thamesmead East SNT
